Castle Howard is a Bushcraft Company ‘Woods’ site situated in Yorkshire.  Nestled beneath the howardian hills, Castle Howard is one of England’s finest historic houses and is surrounded by a beautiful landscape of woodland and lakes. Situated close to York, this is the perfect choice for schools in the North of the country..

This three-day course develops leadership skills, confidence, independence and team work, inspires positive attitudes, develops ‘Bear Grylls’-style skills and a greater understanding of the British natural landscape.

The pupils will take part in activities such as building a camp and shelter, finding and lighting their own fires, camouflage and concealment, fresh water swimming, cutting tools and wild food workshops and first aid.  All of this will be interspersed with games, meals and some well-earned sleep!

This is a year 6 trip after SATs that leaves on a Friday morning and arrives back on a Sunday evening.
